This time of year, we always start to feel the anticipation of tax season. However, this year, we are spending more time watching CSPAN waiting to hear how the current legislation will effect our clients than looking forward to that time of year. Although by 2010 take season software is loaded, much of it is in "draft" form as we all sit and wait.
There is so much out there for and against passing so many bills but in short, no matter what your political views are, this is the time to get active and read up on many of these changes. Why? Because in my option this is the first time in history that these changes will not only impact us right now but the country as a whole in the next 5 years. This is not a long term forecast but a short term observation that will be one for history.
I will post more about the changes and legislation in the next few days. It is a long task and one that I take very seriously as I do not want to post to soon.
